We want you to be delighted with the service you receive from Happy Pineapple! Although Terms and Conditions may sound a bit dull they are important so please read on.

 

Privacy Notice

Protecting your data is something Happy Pineapple takes seriously (yes, even happy folk can be serious).

 

Happy Pineapple does not store any customer payment information. All online payments to Happy Pineapple are managed through Stripe, which is an industry leader with strong security.

 

We will not share your data with any one else. We will hold your data for 2 years from the last time we used your data to post you a Happy Pineapple book. Towards the end of the 2 years we may email you to let you know that we will soon be deleting your data. That email will contain a link to our website.

 

If you agree to be contacted by Happy Pineapple at other times then we will happily get in touch, but only to let you know when a new Happy Pineapple book becomes available. When sending such emails we may use a third party service such as MailChimp. We will do upmost to ensure that the provider we choose does not use any of our customer’s details for their own marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe from Happy Pineapple’s emails at any time.

 

Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

All customers have the right to cancel an order, for any reason, within 14 days of receiving your order.

 

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform Happy Pineapple of your decision to cancel your order by a clear statement (e.g. an email or a letter sent by post). You may use the cancellation form that can be found on the Happy Pineapple website, but you don’t have to – you can send an email or a letter in the post. Happy Pineapple will get in touch with you to acknowledge that your cancellation request has been received. This will be done using a durable medium (e.g. by email) and without undue delay.

 

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication stating that you want to use your right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

 

The cancellation period will expire 14 days after you acquire, or a third party indicated by you (ie. if you had the item delivered to someone else) other than the carrier (eg. Royal Mail) acquires, physical possession of the goods.

 

If an order is cancelled after the Happy Pineapple product has been packaged and posted then the cost of returning the product to Happy Pineapple is to be paid by the customer.

 

If an order is cancelled before it has been posted by Happy Pineapple then that makes things a bit simpler and cheaper.

 

Effects of Cancellation

If you cancel your order, Happy Pineapple will reimburse you all payments received from you, excluding the costs of delivery.

 

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

 

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than-

  • 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or
  • (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
  • if you cancelled the order before the goods were supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel the order.

 

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless it is expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

 

You are required to send back the goods, or hand them over, to Happy Pineapple without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation to us.

 

Quality, Refunds and Replacements

Happy Pineapple works hard to ensure that all books are of an excellent quality. If you do not consider the quality to be sufficient then there is a 30 day refund/replacement policy in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. As a valued customer you are free to ask for a refund rather than a replacement. Please contact Happy Pineapple if you have any concerns about the quality of the books using the email address below.

 

Disputes

In the sad event of a dispute between a customer and Happy Pineapple the European Online Dispute Resolution can be used.
